Jude 24-25: “Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to God our Savior, who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.”

I was talking with a young man in a juvenile detention facility. He had been arrested for drugs and was serving his time. I shared with him the story of Jesus. He told me that he wanted to trust Jesus but that he was afraid that he would fail Him. I have heard this hundreds of times over these 27 years of ministry.  I told that young man the good news is that I do not trust in myself to have a changed life. I trust in Jesus. He is the only one who is able to keep me from falling. Once you are saved, He will never leave you nor forsake you. Paul related something similar: “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it” (1 Cor. 10:13). There is always a God provided way of escape designed specifically for you.

Ultimately, Jesus will have us to stand in His presence faultless and full of joy. We long for that day. When we see Him face to face. Sin will be banished. We will live in our glorified bodies with one another in the glory of God.

Rest your confidence in Jesus for the moral demands of today.

To Him be glory both now and forever! Amen.
