1 John 4:16 - And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
Love on a Love Language. Wait, what? If you haven’t read the book by Dr. Gary Chapman, The Five Love Languages: The Secret to Love That Lasts, please do so. As my wife and I read and studied through this book a few years ago and found our Love Languages (for me - words of affirmation, and for her - physical touch), I realized how Bible-based the love languages are. Each one has a significant meaning of the love of Jesus that He has poured out on us. One example, and probably the most important, is acts of service. Jesus has shown the ultimate act of service by giving His life for us. Spread that love to others (1 John 4:16). Love on someone else’s love language. No matter what the relationship is; whether it’s your spouse, family, friend or co-worker, find out what their love language is and love on it. Just as we love to be loved by Jesus, we should love others as He loves us.
