Psalm 33:8: “Let the whole earth fear the Lord; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.”
In 21 days we will celebrate Easter, the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. As we pray and prepare for the holy day, may we join with the psalmist to stand in awe of the Lord who fashioned all that was made by the word of His power. Our God reigns. No army or government can stand as His adversary. He is the sovereign Lord. The Lord frustrates the counsel of the nations and thwarts the plans of the people (v.10). Happy is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He has chosen for His own possession (v. 12)!
The Lord looks down from heaven and observes everyone (v. 13). He sees our lives. He watches our actions, hears our words, and considers our works. Stand in awe of Him today. Pray that He will stir the hearts of the people on Easter weekend to save the lost, comfort the broken, and restore the wandering.
