Exodus 23:20 – "Behold, I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared."
God calls you to follow His path for your life, and on His path an angel goes before you and with you to bring you to the destination that He has planned. God determines the way that we should go. He commands us to follow Him. We must remain faithful to follow Him. The circumstances, our peers and friends, and the world will try to allure us to turn to the right or to the left, but we must stay focused on the Author and Finisher of our faith and follow.
As a church family, we must follow His path. He directs our steps and calls us to minister to our community in an effort to win them to faith in Christ and develop them into mature disciples. He goes before us to prepare the way. He calls us to follow and expects us to be fully devoted to the task with passion, loyalty, and steadfastness. Plans have a tendency to change while struggles and persecutions arise from sources outside of our control. We must respond with faithfulness to our Lord with prayer, service, generosity, and worship. We must be faithful to each other in service, small group fellowship, and prayer.
God has a place prepared for us in the future and a path prepared for us in order to arrive at this place. The journey is as important as the destination. Where are you today on the journey? Are you spending time in prayer each day? Are you engaging with your church in small group or worship? Take a step this week! Behold, the Lord has prepared a way and a destination.
